Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed and new batch at White Coat Ceremony of BDC

KARACHI: Baqai Dental College has not disappointed in its efforts to hold its first-ever "White Coat Ceremony" in February 2023 in Saeeda Auditorium to welcome the newly enrolled dental students of the 34th Batch.

All of the students showed up for this historic occasion with their parents or guardians in tow. The prestigious Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Chairmen, Deans, Heads of Departments, and respected faculty members were all in attendance to take part in this illustrious occasion.

The vice principals of Baqai Dental College, Dr. M. Farhan Khan for administration and Dr. M. Ain ul Haq for academics, welcomed everyone to the ceremony in their opening remarks.

The "White Coat Ceremony," in which the newly entered students were called to the stage and awarded their doctor's coats, was started after the principal, Prof. Dr. Talha M. Siddiqui, welcomed the audience. Respected Baqai Dental College Dean Prof. Dr. Asad Javaid opened the closing remarks, which were then delivered by Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kashif Ikram and Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed.

All of the speakers extended a warm welcome to the freshmen and shared words of wisdom that inspired and motivated them. One of the ceremony's standout elements was the chance offered to a select group of parents and children to share their unvarnished opinions. Refreshments were served to mark the end of the ceremony.

The celebration served as a big welcome for the new students who had just joined Baqai Dental College. Also, this ceremony honoured the parents who helped their children into this honourable profession.

The auditorium was filled with a variety of feelings throughout the event, especially among the parents and guardians. These emotions included pride, excitement, thankfulness, and satisfaction. During the "White Coat Ceremony," there were numerous Baqai Dental College mantras that could be seen and heard. "We Paint Personalities", "I Own Baqai," and "Treat the Patient, not the Tooth" were the most popular ones. The faculty and house officers from Baqai Dental College worked as a team to plan and carry out a magnificent celebration, without which it would not have been possible.
