Imran Khan PTI is the King of U-Turns
1. Making promises to remove corruption in Pakistani politics but then coming under fire for corruption claims against himself and members of his own government, including suspicions of money laundering.
2. Constantly champions the State of Madinah and demands for the establishment of Sharia law in Pakistan. Yet, his three and a half year tenure was the worst for his opponents and the general population, who experienced injustice in all aspects of life, including record inflation.
3. Proponents of talks with the Taliban who later favour military action against them and refuse to negotiate while simultaneously denouncing military actions against them. As terrorism returned to Pakistan's cities and towns, his government's confusing signals and accommodating attitude towards the Taliban caused great harm to Pakistanis.
4. Imran Khan asked his supporters to join the Jail Bharo movement, but was granted release by the courts, setting a poor example and serving as a prime example of the U-Turn Khan, as Maryam Nawaz Sharif and other political rivals have dubbed him.
5. No longer holds the United States responsible for his resignation as prime minister in April 2022. With time, the infamous U.S. cypher and the blame game were forgotten because they served only to inflame the local population against the current administration because they continue to subscribe to the anti-Americanism viewpoint.
6. Critiquing American drone strikes in Pakistan while afterwards approving an increase in drone operations against extremists there.
7. Despite Imran Khan's initial admonition not to interact with foreign diplomats during the motion of no-confidence, both PTI leaders and Imran himself ultimately met with them.
8. Criticizing the previous administration of Nawaz Sharif for its economic policies before enacting the worst ones in his own administration.
9. During his administration, Imran Khan referred to COAS Gen. Bajwa as a military leader who supported democracy. Imran, however, referred to him as Mir Jaffer and Mir Sadiq after he was removed from office.
10. The PECA ordinance and the legal actions taken against journalists under this legislation were first backed by Imran Khan and his administration. Yet, they are now criticising how the government has handled cases involving journalists under the same law that they introduced while in office.
